Weight control is not rocket science
Dieting and wanting to lose weight, has been and probably always will be, a mainstay in our society. Unfortunately we seem to be losing the battle, but why? There is no shortage of diet books, support groups, apps, fitness trackers and gyms, yet we keep getting fatter.
CHANGE THE FOCUS
1) Stop counting calories
2) Stop doing hours of cardio
3) Eat more fat
4) Eat less carbohydrates
5) Sleep more
6) Try fasting (see upcoming blog post for more)
7) Lift heavy weights
8) Stop weighing yourself
9) Get blood work done (more in upcoming blog post)
10) STOP DIETING!!!
Bonus: Don't eat if you are not hungry. Seems obvious, but many people eat out of habit or because it's breakfast/lunch/dinner time. You don't have to follow a clock. Listen to your body.
Gaining control of your weight and health is not about will power or lack there of. And it's not about the perfect diet. Dieting and restricting food does NOT work and never will.
